New Schema.org Terms Google's Docs Don't Mention Yet
Schema.org's September 2026 release added new e-commerce properties like isOftenBoughtWith. Google's own structured-data docs don't reference them yet.
Schema.org released version 30.1 on September 16, 2026, adding a cluster of e-commerce-specific vocabulary: Product.consumerNotice, Product.isOftenBoughtWith, Product.specification, Offer.itemPopularity, ShippingRateSettings.minimumOrderValue, and a new MaximumRetailPrice price type. If you maintain JSON-LD product markup, it's worth knowing the difference between a property existing on schema.org and Google actually using it for a rich result — those are two separate questions.
"New" Still Means Open for Feedback
isOftenBoughtWith and minimumOrderValue are both explicitly tagged "new" on their own schema.org term pages, meaning the vocabulary is still soliciting implementation feedback and adoption data before it's considered settled. isOftenBoughtWith takes a Product value and is defined simply as indicating a product often bought with the described one. minimumOrderValue is defined as the minimum order value required for a given shipping rate to apply, and accepts a MonetaryAmount, Number, PriceSpecification, or ShippingRateSettings value.
Google's Structured-Data Docs Are Silent on These Terms
Google's Search Central guide for merchant listing structured data documents active, strikethrough, and member pricing, sale duration via validFrom/validThrough/priceValidUntil, shipping details, free shipping, return details, and certifications as supported Product markup features. Read directly for this piece, that guide does not reference isOftenBoughtWith, itemPopularity, or the new ShippingRateSettings.minimumOrderValue property anywhere in its property lists or examples. Adding these specific new schema.org properties to a product page's JSON-LD today does not currently map to a documented Google Search rich-result feature.
Don't Confuse These With Merchant API Fields of the Same Name
Google's Merchant API already has its own, independently-defined fields that sound similar: ProductAttributes.minimumOrderValues (an array of ProductMinimumOrderValue objects) and ProductAttributes.popularityRank. These are Merchant API/feed concepts, set via your product feed or the Merchant API directly — not schema.org JSON-LD properties, and not built from or related to the new schema.org terms despite the overlapping names and intent. Two separate vocabularies happening to describe similar ideas is an easy thing to conflate when skimming a changelog.
