Custom Shopify theme development

Custom Online Store 2.0 themes, new sections and fixes to the theme you already have, written as clean Liquid your team can keep editing.

This is for you if

  • You need sections or page types your current theme doesn't have.
  • Your theme has been edited by several developers and nobody wants to touch it.
  • You want a fully custom theme instead of adapting someone else's.

The problems we solve. And how we approach them.

Theme code nobody understands

Years of quick edits leave duplicated snippets, dead code and hard-coded content. Every change gets riskier and slower.

Features the theme can't do

Bundles, size guides, custom product options and content layouts often end up as apps or workarounds when they should be part of the theme.

Updates break customisations

Edits made directly in a purchased theme are hard to carry over when the theme releases an update.

What's included. Scoped and agreed in writing before we start.

Theme work we take on

  • Fully custom Online Store 2.0 themes
  • New sections, blocks and templates for an existing theme
  • Theme clean-up: removing dead code and duplicated snippets
  • Product page features such as bundles, size guides and custom options
  • Fixes for layout, mobile and accessibility issues

How we deliver it

  • Work done on a duplicate theme, never on your live one
  • Theme code in version control, with a clear change history
  • Settings exposed in the theme editor where your team needs them

How we do it

Tools we use

  • Liquid
  • Online Store 2.0
  • Shopify CLI
  • JavaScript
  • CSS

Sections everywhere

New features are built as sections and blocks with their own settings, so they can be reused across pages and moved around without code.

Data in metafields, not in templates

Content that changes per product or collection is read from metafields and metaobjects, so it's edited in the admin instead of in code.

Safe releases

Changes are built and reviewed on a copy of your theme, then published once you've approved them in preview.

What you can count on

  • The code is yours

When the project is complete and paid for, we transfer full ownership of the code to you. Under the NDA we sign, we never reuse it for ourselves or for another client.

  • Scope and milestones agreed in writing

Before work starts, you approve a written quote with milestones. You pay per milestone, after it's delivered. Anything outside the agreed scope is discussed and quoted before we do it.

  • A reply within 1–2 business days

Send the quote form and you'll hear back from our CTO within one to two business days.

  • Updates on your schedule

Daily, weekly or at each milestone: you choose how often you hear from us, and we stick to it.

Questions

Something else? Ask us directly.

How much does it cost, and how long does it take?

There's no fixed price list. We scope the work first, then send a written quote with milestones and a timeline. You approve it before anything starts and pay per milestone as each one is delivered.

Can you work on a theme we bought?

Yes. We can add sections and features to a purchased theme, and we keep customisations organised so future updates are easier to merge.

Do you edit our live theme?

No. All work happens on a duplicate theme you can preview. It goes live only when you approve it.

Should we build a custom theme or customise an existing one?

It depends on how far your store needs to be from the theme's defaults. We'll tell you honestly after a look at your store and requirements.

Who owns the code?

You do. Once the project is complete and paid for, we transfer full ownership of the code. The NDA we sign means we never reuse it for ourselves or another client.

Tell us what you're building.

Share a few details and we'll reply within 1–2 business days with questions, a scope and a quote.
